Steigerman Model 151 Baby Grand

Steigerman was a not a manufacturer but rather a “stencil” brand that was built to order by different factories and sold to suppliers and dealers in various markets.  According to the Pierce Piano Atlas the Steigerman brand was initially built by Yamaha for the Canadian market in the mid-1960s.

Years later Steigermans were produced in China in several factories, most notably and recently by Hailun.

Based on its construction, appearance, scale design, fit & finish, etc., we believe this 5’ Model 151 was built by Hailun, which means it’s a very good entry-level baby grand for someone wanting the pleasure of playing on a real grand action or wanting to upgrade from a vertical or digital action.
